UM suspensions boost USC's chances

The odds of South Carolina prevailing over Big Ten foe Michigan in the Outback Bowl on New Year's Day ticked upward unexpectedly on Sunday when Wolverines starting cornerback J.T. Floyd, a native of the Palmetto State, punter Will Hagerup and reserve linebacker Brandin Hawthorne were suspended by head coach Brady Hoke for an undisclosed violation of team rules.
