South Carolina practiced Wednesday afternoon at the Bluff Road Proving Grounds and Gamecock Central was there. A complete practice report with video will follow shortly.
Wide receivers coach Steve Spurrier Jr. said that he expects receiver Pharoh Cooper to see action this Saturday in an attempt to get more reps for the talented freshman.
Offensive line coach Shawn Elliott said freshman center Cody Waldrop started with the first team in practice today but that Clayton Stadnik also rotated in. He reiterated Spurrier's comments from Tuesday that a starter had not yet been decided upon and that both would play against UCF.
Elliott was asked why he doesn't rotate offensive linemen in and out of the game as many defense do and said he believes in having his five best go all the way.
Running backs coach Everette Sands said he expects his backs to face a tough challenge from UCF's defensive front but that he's confident in his group's overall health, adding that Mike Davis' ankle is fine.
INJURY REPORT: Missing practice or in yellow jerseys Wednesday were Devin Washington (concussion) and Mike Matulis (shoulder).
UP NEXT: South Carolina will practice tomorrow afternoon.
