McNeal, Breck fall to .500
One of the five in-state juniors that Tim Brewster and staff has offered at Minnesota is Breck wideout Bryce McNeal. McNeal, 6-foot-2 180 pounds, plays both ways for the traditionally strong Mustangs who played an afternoon contest with Minnehaha Academy this past Wednesday. In sloppy conditions McNeal's Mustangs fell to .500 on the season.
In recent past Breck has been known for their offensive talent produced on the football field. Their list of past players is very impressive as they have Breck alum in the NFL and out East playing college football. Dominique Byrd is a former Mustang and he is now on the Los Angeles Rams. Former quarterback Liam O'Hagan was a US Amy All-American and is now a part time senior starting quarterback at Harvard. There are two former Mustangs at undefeated Boston College including leading Eagle receiver Brandon Robinson and third or fourth string tight end Jordan McMichael.
Next in line for the high major college level seems to be Bryce McNeal who already has gathered offers from Colorado and Minnesota. At 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds with a timed forty of 4.45, McNeal is a Twin Cities standout. As a sophomore Bryce caught 57 passes for 701 yards with four touchdowns while playing both ways. This year Bryce's numbers through eight games include 34 receptions for 613 yards and seven touchdowns.
