Offers by Virginia Tech continue to roll out for some of the top prospects in the 2009 recruiting class. The latest Hokie offer goes to one of the top talents in the Commonwealth.

"I picked up an offer last week from Virginia Tech," Hampton (Va.) Phoebus quarterback Tajh Boyd said. "I think coach Cavanaugh sent it to coach Dee.

"It's cool to get another offer and fun to get a lot of looks. Coach Cavanaugh is a real cool guy. He's down-to-earth and I like him. They have a real good program too. I went to camp up there last summer and they have nice facilities, it's pretty and the atmosphere sticks out."

Currently Boyd holds three offers from Virginia Tech, Virginia and Boston College. Is there a leader in the mix?

"I don't know," he said. "I'd say Boston College is my favorite right now. They graduate almost everyone and I enjoyed my unofficial visit there. It was crazy, coach Jags is a down-to-earth person."
