Michigan in a position to snag Williams

Shortly before West Roxbury (Mass.) Catholic Memorial offensive lineman Brennan Williams cut his list to a final six schools, the 6-5, 255-pound prospect picked up an offer from Michigan. With that timely tender, the Wolverines made Williams' cut and have several factors in their favor.

Michigan had known of, and been watching, Williams well before they offered him a scholarship. His father was recruited out of Flint (Mich.) Northern High School by current Michigan assistant Fred Jackson to Toledo in the 1980's.
