Kinlaw moves announcement to Wednesday

Jones CC defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw has moved his announcement to Wednesday.

The former Goose Creek standout will formally announce his commitment between South Carolina and Southern Cal tonight, though the 6-foot-5, 304-pounder has already said he's "100 percent" for South Carolina.

"I'll make my decision on the 31st," Kinlaw said following this weekend's official visit to South Carolina. "South Carolina 100 percent, man. I just haven't committed yet. I ain't going nowhere else. Here, they look out for me. It's all about relationships."

The three-star prospect originally committed to South Carolina out of high school, but decommitted in November to take a look at other programs too.

Kinlaw was heavily pursued by Alabama and set an official visit to the school before ultimately canceling it. Kinlaw took an official visit to Southern Cal earlier this month.

Kinlaw, who enjoys a strong relationship with Will Muschamp and Lance Thompson, enjoyed this weekend's official visit to South Carolina.

"It went great," Kinlaw said. "I loved it, you know, being home in this atmosphere and knowing a lot of people here. They showed me a lot of love."

Kinlaw is ranked the No. 27 JUCO prospect in his class.
