Long-time South Carolina defensive back commit Damon Arnette has flipped his commitment to Ohio State and will sign with the Buckeyes on National Signing Day Wednesday.

Arnette originally committed to South Carolina in July and remained firmly committed to the Gamecocks for some time, but began to have second thoughts when he took official visits to Michigan and Ohio State in January.
An official visit to South Carolina in between the visits to the two Big Ten schools seemed to solidify his commitment to Carolina. But an in-home visit from Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer late last week and the subsequent official visit to Columbus this past weekend closed the gap between Carolina and Ohio State.
Arnette and his family wrestled with the decision upon Arnette's return to Fort Lauderdale, Fla. on Sunday and into Monday before the St. Thomas Aquinas standout announced his commitment to Ohio State on Twitter on Monday night.
The Gamecocks have one final defensive back target in the 2015 class in Miami (Fla.) Carol City three-star cornerback Rashad Fenton who is scheduled to make a final decision among the Gamecocks, Florida and Louisville either Monday or Tuesday.
