Athletic Florida wing commits to Gamecocks

Frank Martin added a dose of athleticism and significant upside to his 2017 recruiting class on Thursday with the addition of Florida's Ibrahim Doumbia.

The 6-foot-8 forward, ranked as a three-star prospect by Rivals.com, chose the Gamecocks over offers from Baylor, Florida, Tennessee, TCU, UCF, and UTEP.

Doumbia made his official visit to Columbia during the weekend of September 9 and had narrowed his list to Florida and South Carolina. A scheduled official visit to Gainesville was cancelled prior to his decision to commit to the Gamecocks.

He is the second commitment for South Carolina in the 2017 recruiting class, joining in-state center Jason Cudd.
