Baseball: USC remains No. 2 in poll

South Carolina (24-3, 6-3) remained No. 2 in the Baseball America rankings released today after sweeping its home series against Tennessee this weekend in dramatic fashion and picking up two non-conference wins against The Citadel and Coastal Carolina to go 5-0 on the week.
The Gamecocks are ranked No. 1 in the Collegiate Baseball poll, while they're No. 3 in both the the Perfect Game USA poll and the USA Today coaches' poll.

Before the weekend Tennessee was ranked No. 22 by Baseball America and No. 16 by Perfect Game USA. The Volunteers fell out of the Baseball America poll and landed at No. 25 in Perfect Game USC.
Previous Gamecock opponents who are ranked in the Baseball America poll include No. 23 Ole Miss, No. 22 Kentucky and No. 16 Clemson.
South Carolina hosts at Appalachian State tomorrow at 7 p.m. before traveling to Arkansas for a three-game series beginning Thursday at 8 p.m.
