Current No. 26: Jasper Sasser
Safety Jasper Sasser is a redshirt junior who will compete for playing time in the secondary and on special teams after working at the Spur position last fall. A two-time member of the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll, the Jacksonville, Fla has played primarily on special teams in his career.
Sasser recovered Carlton Heard's blocked punt that set up the game-tying touchdown in the win over Florida in 2014.
Former No. 26: Antonio Allen
Former South Carolina standout Antonio Allen played both SPUR and safety for the Gamecocks from 2008-2011 and developed into one of the Gamecocks best playmakers.
The Ocala, Fla. native finished his career with 198 tackles, 3.5 sacks, four interceptions and two touchdowns before being drafted by the New York Jets in the 2012 NFL Draft.
