Current No. 34: Mon Denson and Scott Grant
Grant is a redshirt sophomore corner who walked-on last year but didn't make the 105-man roster until it expanded later in the season. He's expected to help add depth to the secondary.
Denson was a highly-touted three-star back coming out of high school before redshirting last season behind primarily Brandon Wilds and David Williams. Now, he'll share reps with Williams and fellow redshirt freshman A.J. Turner.
Former No. 34: Spencer Lanning
Lanning served as the Gamecock starting punter from 2008 to 2010 and as starting place kicker in 2009 and 2010. One of the best kickers in Gamecock history, he averaged 42.6 yards per punt, and made 77 percent of his field goals. Both are school records.
He's currently fourth in school history in points scored with 102 in 2010, the year he served as captain. The Rock Hill native went undrafted and signed a contract with the Bears. Since then, he's primarily been on the practice squad, but he was on the Browns' active roster from 2013 to 2014. He was last on the Tampa Bay practice squad.
