The 6-foot-2, 240-pounder had a who's who of major college programs offer him throughout the recruiting process. Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Penn State, Southern Cal, Virginia Tech and numerous others were among the schools to extend scholarships to the four-star performer.
During his junior season at Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School, Crosby caught 32 passes for 784 yards with 14 touchdowns on offense. He also added a pair of kickoff returns for touchdowns and a punt return for a touchdown in addition to 74 tackles and three interceptions (two for touchdowns) on defense.
Crosby, recruited to USC by running backs coach Everette Sands and tight ends/special teams coach Joe Robinson, will play tight end/H-back for South Carolina although he is capable of playing linebacker at the college level as well.
Crosby is the fifth verbal commitment in the 2014 class for South Carolina, joining Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove LB Bryson Allen-Williams, Dillon ATH Joe Blue, Goose Creek TE Kalan Ritchie, and Woodmont OL Malik Young.
