On Jake Bentley's primary goal this spring...

"We had a list of things, for our whole offense really [to focus on this spring], No. 1, at the top of our list, was protecting the football. So, we've done a better job. Unless we go through the spring with zero turnovers, it's not where we want to be, but I think we've done a lot better job with it."

On Dakereon Joyner's progress...

"I think he's done a great job. When he came in, he was swimming just because his offense, what he had run in his career, was so different [than the South Carolina offense], so the fact that we were asking him to do a lot of different things that he had never done hurt him, obviously. But again, he's a guy that wants to do so well. He works as hard as anybody. He's in there watching film, studying the playbook and he knows it, and he's had a really good spring."

On what he's seen from Jay Urich...

Jay is really athletic. He's actually the fastest one of all of them. We put these GPS systems on them during practice and sometimes, there's been a couple of practices, he's had the fastest one on our team. So, he's really athletic. He knows the offense. I think he's come a long way too.

On Ryan Hilinski's first spring...

He's done a really good job. He's studied really hard. As soon he signed and we were allowed to start sending him playbook material, he was begging for it. You can tell he's worked hard on it, so I'm very pleased with how he's progressed. ... (on what they saw from him in high school) He's got a really quick release, made good decisions, and he's really accurate.
