Davis opens it up

Lawrenceville (Georgia) Archer's Kyle Davis announced via Twitter on Monday night that he would be opening his recruiting process up, backing away from the verbal commitment he made to South Carolina back in July of last year.

"After a long talk with my family, I'm officially decommitting and opening my recruitment back up. I will not take any interviews," Davis said.
The four-star athlete pledged to USC at the Gamecock Showcase camp last season and was the first commitment of the 2016 class for USC at the time.
Davis had over ten offers at the time of his commitment, but that number would grow exponentially over the next several months. Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Ohio State, Tennessee, and numerous others have also joined the ranks of pursuit for Davis.
