COMMITMENTS

QB Jay Urich: Wren (S.C.) beat James Island (S.C.) 55-35 to open the season at 1-0. Urich was 19-of-30 passing for 248 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. He also rushed the ball 19 times for 115 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.

RB Kyshaun Bryan: St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.) lost to Booker T. Washington (Fla.) to open the year at 0-1. Bryan did have a touchdown run in the game.

WR Shi Smith: Union County (S.C.) lost to Gaffney (S.C.) 53-7 to fall to 1-1 on the year. Smith had around four catches for 25 yards.

WR Shawn Smith: Brunswick (Ga.) lost to Coffee (Ga.) 21-20 to open the year at 0-1. Smith had six catches for 44 yards. He also rushed the ball twice for eight yards. He also had a 38-yard kick return in the game.

TE Will Register:Chapin (S.C.) beat Mid-Carolina (S.C.) 35-32 to improve to 1-1 on the year.

OL Dennis Daley: Georgia Military College lost to Navarro College 27-23 to open their season.

OL Summie Carlay: Laurens (S.C.) lost to Clinton (S.C.) 34-29 to fall to 0-1 on the year.

OL Eric Douglas and T.J. Moore: Mallard Creek (N.C.) beat Butler (N.C.) 35-20 to improve to 2-0 on the season.

DE Tyreek Johnson: Lakewood (S.C.) lost to Lake City (S.C.) 45-7 to fall to 0-2 on the season.

DT M.J. Webb: Morgan County (Ga.) lost to Greene County (Ga.) 13-12 to open their season. Webb had nine tackles, two for loss, and a blocked kick in the game.

LB Sherrod Greene: Rocky Mount (N.C.) lost to Middle Creek (N.C.) 37-25 to fall to 1-1 on the season. Greene did not play again but is expected back next week.

LB Davonne Bowen: Woodmont (S.C.) lost to Palmetto (S.C.) 21-7 to fall to 1-1 on the year.

LB Eldridge Thompson: Coffeyville Community College lost to Hutchinson 34-29 to open their season. Thompson had 16 tackles, two for loss, a sack, and a forced fumble in the game.

LB Damani Staley: Ridge View (S.C.) beat Blythewood (S.C.) 23-21 to improve to 2-0 on the season. Staley had 10 tackles, five for loss, and three sacks in the win.

DB Damarri Mathis: Lakeland (Fla.) beat White (Fla.) 49-0 to open their season. Mathis did not play.

DB Tavyn Jackson: Rickards (Fla.) lost to Madison County (Fla.) 21-12 to open their season. Jackson had six tackles in the game.

DB Jaylin Dickerson: Pinecrest (N.C.) beat Riverside (N.C.) 35-0 to improve to 2-0 on the season. Dickerson did return to action this week after missing last week’s game.

DB Zay Brown: In a 34-10 loss to Oconee County, Brown had four tackles and three pass breakups.

DB Hamsah Nasirildeen: Concord (N.C.) beat Albemarle (N.C.) 56-0 to improve to 1-1 on the season. Nasirildeen had two tackles with one being for a loss. He also had three catches for 19 yards.

DB Jamyest Williams: Grayson (Ga.) lost to IMG Academy (Fla.) 26-7 to open their season. Williams had a 56-yard touchdown reception in the game.

TARGETS/UNDERCLASSMEN

2017 WR OrTre Smith (Mt. Pleasant, SC/Wando): Smith had four catches for 34 yards.

2017 WR Chad Terrell (Dallas, Ga/North Paulding): Terrell had five catches for 28 yards.

2018 RB Zamir White (Laurinburg, NC/Scotland County): White did not play because of a thigh bruise.

2018 QB Dakereon Joyner (North Charleston, SC/Fort Dorchester): Joyner was 13-of-17 passing for 364 yards and five touchdowns. He also had a 63-yard touchdown run.

2018 ATH Derion Kendrick (Rock Hill, SC/South Pointe): Kendrick was 7-of-14 passing for 64 yards and a touchdown. He also had 18 yards rushing.

2018 WR Demarcus Gregory (Duncan, SC/Byrnes): Gregory had three catches for 23 yards.

2018 WR Jordyn Adams (Blythewood, SC): Adams was 7-of-12 passing for 121 yards with a touchdown and interception. He also had 39 yards rushing and another touchdown on the ground.

2018 DE Xavier Thomas (Florence, SC/Wilson): Thomas had a pass breakup and a couple tackles.

2019 WR Jacoby Pinckney (Roebuck, SC/Dorman): Pinckney had 10 catches for 47 yards and a touchdown.

2018 WR Sam Pinckney: Had TD catches of 29 and 34 yards.
