Four-star safety Israel Mukuamu decommits from FSU

Bossier City (La.) Parkway four-star safety Israel Mukuamu, a former Berkeley High standout, announced a decommitment from Florida State Wednesday night.

The 6-foot-4, 190-pounder committed to the Seminoles in July, but has maintained contact with other schools, taking official visits to South Carolina, Georgia and Indiana.

With uncertainties, as Mukuamu put it, around the future of the Florida State coaching staff, and head coach Jimbo Fisher reportedly set to take the Texas A&M job, the Palmetto State native chose to open up his recruitment.

Mukuamu is ranked the No. 22 safety in the country by Rivals.com
