Gamecocks commit Bryce Thompson takes home hardware at Shrine Bowl
Life on the football field as a South Carolina commit went about the same as before it for Bryce Thompson, who pledged to the Gamecocks on Wednesday.
Despite a 54-24 loss for the South Carolina squad, Thompson's individual performance in the annual Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas Saturday earned him the Sandlappers' overall MVP award.
Thompson finished the game with 7 catches for 165 yards and a touchdown.
South Carolina commits QB Dakereon Joyner, WR Darius Rush, OL Hank Manos and DB R.J. Roderick also participated in the game.
