Gamecocks drop to No. 11 in poll

South Carolina (28-7, 8-7) dropped to No. 11 in the Baseball America rankings released today after losing two of three games to Florida at home and defeating Furman last Tuesday to go 2-2 on the week.

In the Perfect Game USA poll, the Gamecocks are ranked No. 9. In the Collegiate Baseball poll, USC plummeted from No. 4 to No. 15.
Florida moved to No. 9 in Baseball America and No. 18 in Perfect Game USA.
Previous Gamecock opponents who are ranked in the Baseball America poll include No. 13 Ole Miss, No. 19 Kentucky and No. 22 Clemson.
South Carolina plays Charleston Southern tomorrow at 7 p.m. and The Citadel on Wednesday for a game that was rained out earlier in the season before traveling to Auburn for a three-game series beginning Friday at 7 p.m.
