Ty'Son Williams is coming home.

The former North Carolina running back, who prepped at Sumter, S.C.'s Crestwood High has been completed all requirements to enroll for fall classes at South Carolina. This week, he finalized registration, housing, and financial aid.

Williams, who rushed 19 times for 57 yards as a true freshman, will have to take a redshirt next season while he sits out due to NCAA transfer rules and then would have three years of eligibility left. He will able to report with the team on August 1.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Williams announced last month that he was transferring and said at the time that he hoped it would be to South Carolina, he just needed to be accepted by the school.

Williams was not been released to South Carolina by UNC head coach Larry Fedora, meaning he will enroll at USC as a walk-on and use the G.I. Bill to pay for his first year in Columbia.

The former Crestwood standout is very familiar with the South Carolina program and nearly chose the Gamecocks out of high school in 2015 before they filled up at the running back position.

He instead signed with North Carolina after carrying offers from Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, and others.

"South Carolina has been like a second home for me, so of course, playing for USC would be something special," Williams said last month. "I've always had a lot of respect for that program and what they've done, a lot of respect for what they've accomplished throughout the years. Coach Muschamp seems to be putting everything back together and the program will be back real soon."

A former high three-star prospect, Williams was ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 43 running back in the 2015 class and the No. 7 prospect in the state.

South Carolina and North Carolina meet in Charlotte in 2019 for a neutral site contest.
