Gamecocks to host NCAA Regional

Whether South Carolina's baseball team will have to hit the road for a Super Regional is still uncertain, but the Gamecocks (42-16) learned Sunday night they will be one of 16 teams hosting an NCAA Regional next weekend.

The news, though not unexpected, should come as music to South Carolina's ears, as the Gamecocks are 16-0 in NCAA Tournament games at Carolina Stadium.

The entire 64-team NCAA Tournament field, including the top eight national seeds and the Regional pairings, will be announced in a one-hour selection show Monday at noon on ESPNU.
