Jones breaks it down

Fresh off of a visit to check out Penn State, Duncan (SC) Byrnes ATH Nick Jones spoke with GamecockCentral.com about his experience there, plus his thoughts on teammate Marcus Lattimore's just-released top five.
"Me and Marcus had a good time (at Penn State)," he said. "I was just surprised by how nice everything looked and I loved it. The stadium and everything is really nice."

Meeting coach Joe Paterno was one of the highlights of the visit according to the electric athlete.
"We got to eat with some of the players and coaches and that was fun. Coach Paterno is great. Besides Coach Spurrier he is one of the greatest coaches I have ever met."
Did the talented Palmetto State native pick up an offer from the childhood favorite Nitanny Lions?
"No, they said they would send something in the mail Thursday and then call to see if I got it. So that's what I hope it is."
When asked if a Penn State offer would change things for Jones, he was unsure.
"I don't know," he said. "I will just have to see how it all goes."
The versatile Jones commented on friend and teammate Marcus Lattimore's recent cut to five.
"He told me about it before he released it and it looked good to me."
Jones plans to put visits on hold for a while to focus on winning yet another state championship for the Rebels.
"Two-a-days are starting soon," he said. "I am real excited, just ready to get it going."
