Key not wavering

Early South Carolina commitment Arden Key from the 2015 class recently took a trip to Auburn, a visit he said was "good" and that moved the Tigers up his list. Despite that, he still said that he was "solid as a rock" to South Carolina and planned on following that trip to the Yellowhammer State with one to Columbia.
That visit took place yesterday. Joined by his father and younger brother, Key met with lead recruiter and Gamecock defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward.

"Everything was great," he told GamecockCentral.com. "It really was like a visit for my pops and brother. He showed them everything they showed me when I went down with Wesley (Green)."
The standout defender said that his father was impressed with what he saw out of the Gamecock program.
"I feel like my pops is with Coach Ward because they're from the same area and they know the same people," he explained. "He was telling him his reasons for recruiting me and what his plans were for me when I come to South Carolina."
Between now and February 2015, the Peach State product said he could make some more visits to other schools but that none were planned. In fact, he discussed the situation with Ward in detail while in Columbia.
"He said he don't have any problem because he knows my heart and soul is with South Carolina," Key said. "He actually wants me to go on visits to other schools so I can see the difference between the schools."
Key was asked again following the latest trip to Columbia the strength of his commitment to the Gamecocks, and his answer was straight to the point.
"100 percent," he said.
