Class of 2015 Atlanta (Ga.) Hapeville Charter four-star defensive end Arden Key is the most watched final target for the Gamecocks among fans. Key, who has been committed to South Carolina twice before recently decommitting again, took his much-anticipated official visit to see the program over the weekend.

Key, who is being recruited by defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward enjoyed catching up with his host and former teammate Wesley Green as well as long-time friend Bryson Allen-Williams.
"Everything was really kind of an overview," Key said following the visit. "I've been here plenty of times. I know a lot of the players and it was all about catching up and talking a little football. I've been here plenty of times and know a lot of people on the time. I have the inside track on what's going on in South Carolina football. It's always good to reconnect with the boys you grew up with. I have a couple of players I played rec ball with that go to this school, so it was all good."
Key has been to South Carolina many times before, but also had some final questions for the staff.
"I had questions about coaching and all of that has been taken care of," Key said. "They said all the coaches are staying, they're just going to add coaches. They said no coaches are leaving, so adding coaches is always a good thing."
Key knows if he picks the Gamecocks he'll have the opportunity to play early.
"They said I have the opportunity to come in and play as a true freshman," Key said. "That was the weakest part on the defense last year. They need a pass rusher and that's what I can do, I can get to the quarterback. My opportunity is great this fall."
Key has already taken official visits to LSU and Miami.
"The (South Carolina) visit stacked up pretty good," Key said. "Right now, I'm not making a decision. I'm taking it all the way out. I'm just having fun right now. After I take all of my officials, then decide where I want to go."
Key will take one final official visit next weekend to Auburn before announcing a decision on Fox Sports on Feb. 2.
"No favorites," Key said. "I'm just taking all of it in."
