Martin picks up New Jersey guard

South Carolina basketball has nabbed a commitment from Old Tappan (New Jersey) guard Justin Minaya, who will be a member of the Gamecocks' 2017 recruiting class.

Minaya, the son of former New York Mets general manager Omar Minaya, also considered Illinois, Temple, Seton Hall, and UMass, per Adam Zagoria of ZagsBlog.com.

The 6-foot-6 guard joins previous signees David Beatty, Jason Cudd, Ibrahim Doumbia, and Felipe Haase in the 2017 crop for USC.
