When it comes to recruiting top-shelf prospects, it never seems wise to count out Will Muschamp.

The commitment Monday of four-star offensive lineman TJ Moore caught some by surprise given the perception of a late surge by Tennessee and a Sunday visit to Knoxville.

Yet a quick glance at recent history shows that Muschamp is no stranger to pulling surprises on the recruiting trail. Here are several notable examples, but not all of them:

WR Demarcus Robinson - It's not often that you hear of a prospect committing to two different programs twice. That is exactly what happened with Robinson, a former four-star prospect out of Georgia and the cousin of former Gamecock receiver Marcus Robinson. First it was Clemson that landed a verbal commitment from Robinson during the summer months. The winter is when things went haywire. In December, he flipped his commitment to Florida. Five days later, he was back in the fold for Clemson. The speculation continued through the all-star season and into January, when Robinson would hit campus as an early enrollee. On January 7, he posted to social media that he was headed to Florida; he was in Gainesville later that day to officially become a student-athlete. It was a big get; Robinson's high school staff made no secret of the fact that the preference on that end was Clemson and the Gators still got him.
