The 6-foot-6, 305-pounder informed recruiter and Gamecock offensive line coach Shawn Elliott of the pledge while on campus for USC's hoops game against Florida.
"I just wanted to go ahead and do it," he said. "I just like being up there. It's close to home and my family can some watch me play."
Elliott, who projects to sign five offensive linemen in the 2012 class for USC, was glad to hear the news.
"I told Coach Elliott. He said he was happy, and he wanted to make sure."
The Pee Dee product is excited to get to work under Elliott once he arrives at USC as a student-athlete.
"I just hope to adjust and go out there and do what needs to be done," he said. "I think it's great because I think he does an awesome job with the offensive line."
Park said he also spoke with his parents about the pledge and that they supported with the decision. While may take other visits with his teammates between now and Signing Day 2013, he said his pledge was firm.
The big lineman should be rated as one of the top prospects in the Palmetto State for the 2013 class. He chose USC over offers from Auburn, Clemson, Florida, LSU, Tennessee, UNC, Virginia Tech, and others.
