Pellage sticking with Carolina

Long-time South Carolina offensive tackle commitment Christian Pellage will sign with the Gamecocks on National Signing Day.
"Florida gave me a lot to think about especially with the new staff and the players, but in the end, after the discussion with my family, South Carolina just felt right deep down in my heart," Pellage said.

The nearly 6-foot-7, 300-pound Brooksville (Fla.) Nature Coast standout has been committed to South Carolina since August, but wanted to do his due diligence before making a final decision about his future.
Pellage, ranked the No. 51 offensive tackle in the country by Rivals.com, did just that.
He took an official visit to Florida on the weekend of Jan. 16 before officially visiting South Carolina last weekend.
"The highlight was everything," Pellage said Sunday of the South Carolina trip. "Getting to see the coaches again and getting around the players again -- it just feels like a family here and I love it here."
Pellage hosted Florida offensive line coach Mike Summers in his home on Wednesday before hosting South Carolina offensive line coach Shawn Elliott on Thursday.
On Friday, Pellage announced on Twitter that he would sign with the Gamecocks.
Running backs coach Everette Sands was Pellage's recruiter of record for South Carolina.
"My relationship with Coach Elliott and Coach Sands had a huge impact with this decision," Pellage said. "It wasn't always about football, we got to know each other personally. I know I can trust Elliott in my development as a player and a person."
