Will Muschamp said the following in his weekly press conference:

** Bryan Edwards, Jonathan Walton, Qua Lewis and Elliott Fry were the players of the week. Had nine explosive plays as an offense. Will see a different Mississippi State team than we saw on film.

** The effort was good, but the execution wasn't always what it needed to be. Coverage teams have to be better, especially kickoff coverage. There will be some changes there.

** Running quarterbacks allow an offense to easily outnumber the defense by creating and extra gap in the running game.

** Bryan Edwards has the talent but also has the intangibles. He's a very mature freshman.

** The offensive line rotation will be decided by practice this week but there's a lot of versatility there and they have multiple snappers. Want to compliment Blake Camper for his play at right tackle. D.J. Park had zero busted assignments at right guard even though he probably only had 25 snaps there this preseason.

** Jamari Smith is still the guy in the slot but he's got to catch the ball. Still have confidence in Smith. Young receivers also have to continue to step up behind Smith. Randecous Davis is coming along as a potential fourth wide receiver option and has to continue to do so. Chavis Dawkins and Korey Banks are also continuing to come along.

** K.C. Crosby will play more this week.

** Lorenzo Nunez has given good effort at receiver and proud of how he's handled that but the wide receiver position is completely new to him.

** Perry Orth deserves to start but Brandon McIlwain will play. Not sure yet if the rotation will look exactly the same.

** T.J. Holloman is a really, really smart player. Everyone learns differently but Holloman has a great knack for learning on the board and in the film room without having to rep it on the field which allows him to help at multiple positions.
