Quick-hitters from Will Muschamp:

** Muschamp on the Vandy win: Really proud of resilient attitude. Had a great turnout from the fan base there. Tale of two halves offensively. Self inflicted wounds at the end of the day early on. Vanderbilt does have a really good defense so have to remember that. Ended up with nine explosive plays. Can't turn the ball over. Were solid on defense. Got bounced around in the run game some but tackled well and only gave up 1 explosive play. Had no turnovers when had four shots at it.

** Donell Stanley suffered a high ankle sprain and the hope is that he'll be back after the bye week. Relatively healthy otherwise.

** Regarding quarterback: Will look at it in practice this week, but Perry Orth will likely take first snap although both guys will play. Ball security has to be a priority but McIlwain understands that. Everything that happened is correctable. McIlwain has a great attitude. Jake Bentley also continues to rep with regular team (instead of scout team) and will continue to travel. Nothing has been determined there.

** Alan Knott, Toure Boyd and Christian Pellage will all be back this week after serving suspensions against Vanderbilt.

** Muschamp enjoyed getting out and seeing high school football games on Friday because he loves going to games. Good coaches and players in this state and they need to be promoted. There will be other times during the season with home games and bye weeks that he can get out and see players because of how their schedule is structured.

** On Lorenzo Nunez not traveling: Nunez didn't project to help the team this week and only guys who are a part of game plan travel. Still excited for Nunez's future but he's still learning.

** A.J. Turner played really well. He ran through contact. He catches the ball well. A lot of miscommunication in the run game in the first half - mental errors that hurt. Got them cleaned up in the second half.

** How did defensive coordinator Travaris Robinson do? "Well, we won, so he did a good job. That's how we measure things around here." Thought he did a really nice job.

** Wide receivers have to catch the ball better. KC Crosby needs to get more chances and have his role expanded. Need to get the ball to Hayden Hurst and Deebo Samuel. Targeted them but some of the reads got the ball to Bryan Edwards. Edwards played really well.
