Georgia week quick-hitters:

** Linebacker Bryson Allen-Williams says South Carolina will prepare as if Nick Chubb, who played just one snap last week, will definitely play Saturday. (Kirby Smart has said Chubb will play). Allen-Williams says that Georgia has two great backs in Chubb and Sony Michel.

** Offensive lineman Malik Young says he found out last Sunday that he was going to start against A&M. He says he has to cut down on the mental errors, but it was good to face such a good defensive line right off the bat. He graded out at a 74, he says.

** Safety D.J. Smith says it's a much different defensive plan when playing against Georgia's scheme than it has been against the four straight spread teams that Carolina has played. Smith says Carolina will work more out of its 4-3 personnel. They know Georgia is going to run the football.

** Smith credits missed tackles as the primary reason that they've allowed some of the long runs they've given up.

** Smith, a Marietta, Ga. native, admits that this game means more to him since he's got friends on the UGA team and he'll have a lot of family in town for the game.

** It's all hands on deck at punt return as Hayden Hurst says that he's been working at catching punts. Hurst weights 252 pounds.

** Hurst says he feels like the offense found something in the second half with their downfield passing game.
