Quick-hitters: Players talk Vanderbilt prep
Several South Carolina players discussed the Gamecocks season opener at Vanderbilt following Friday Morning's practice.

Friday post-practice quick-hitters:
** David Williams says he realizes the coaches have his best interest and he believes he's done a lot better job of doing what they've asked of him the last couple of weeks. Williams' is embracing the idea of being the "new David Williams."
** Linebacker T.J. Holloman says that they've not named captains but they probably will right before the opener.
** Deebo Samuel says that they've narrowed the wide receiver rotation down from 16 to about eight.
** Perry Orth says that there's been no real change in the quarterback rotation this week. All three guys are still in the mix.
** Rico McWilliams says that he's trying to focus on football and catching up now that he's back with the team.
** A.J. Turner is still working with the ones at running back and kickoff return. He says there will be some nerves but he's mostly just excited about the opportunity.
