Quick-hitters: Turner working at punt return

Multiple South Carolina players spoke to the media Tuesday as the Gamecocks prepare for UMass.

Notes from Tuesday morning:

** Running back A.J. Turner says that all three quarterbacks have been rotating in. Defensive lineman Taylor Stallworth seemed to indicate that the team has a good idea who the starter will be.

** Turner says he started working with the punt return team this week. Turner admits it's a bit different returning punts than kicks and that you have to have "courage" at the position.

** Turner says the the team still has a goal of going to a bowl game this year. The team has a mindset that they're 0-0. D.J. Smith said that bowl eligibility has been a big topic, but the focus right now is on UMass.

** Turner said that he didn't go home for the break. He was still mad about the Georgia loss and stayed back to get extra work. Turner believed he would perform better this season, so far.

** Turner says that running back David Williams has done a great job at practice the last few weeks.

** Offensive lineman Zack Bailey says the offensive line has shuffled around some this week, but he's not sure yet if any changes will be made.

** Darius English says he tries to watch as much college football as possible to see what other edge rushers are doing. He watched the Alabama-Tennessee game during the bye week.
