Sophomore guard Rakym Felder's case has been dismissed, according to multiple reports, and confirmed by GamecockCentral.com
Felder's case was not in either the Richland or Lexington County court documents as of Thursday afternoon.
Head coach Frank Martin announced before the fall semester began Felder was suspended from the team in mid-August and would not enroll in classes this fall. Felder was arrested over the summer.
“Rakym made a mistake and he’s paying for it,” Martin told Jon Rothstein on the College Hoops Today Podcast Monday. “He’s an unbelievable young man. We still haven’t gotten into the conversation about him long-term yet, as a player, because we’ve been trying to help him as a person first, so he and I speak almost daily and we’re going to continue to figure out a way to help him, so he can succeed as a human being, and as soon as we can get to that place, then we’ll start talking basketball.
“For now, he continues to be my guy and hopefully we can one day re-engage, from a coach-player perspective.”
It's still unclear if Felder will be granted a spot on this year's roster once he enrolls in school again.
