** Will Muschamp says safety Chris Moody and running back A.J. Turner are "questionable to doubtful" for the game. Both practiced some today, but will be monitored this week. Donell Stanley practiced, but there's a lot of soreness in the ankle. They'll see how he looks tomorrow. Running back Rico Dowdle is good to go for Saturday.

** Muschamp says 20 seniors will be recognized before Saturday's game. Muschamp says they are "all seniors." "Really appreciate them building the foundation of our program" and their buy-in.

** Western Carolina coach Larry Hunter is a good friend of Muschamp's and does a good job. Their offense uses run-pass options and tempo to stress a defense vertically and horizontally. Similar to Missouri there. Two of Muschamp's former players are on that staff.

** Muschamp says Jamari Smith is "totally committed" to the Gamecocks and they will talk when the season is over.

** Muschamp says they'll "more than likely" apply for a medical redshirt for Randrecous Davis.

** Muschamp texted Marcus Lattimore yesterday and congratulated him. He'll do a great job there. He's got an ability to connect with people. He'll continue to climb in the coaching profession because of the type person he is.

** Muschamp continues to praise Perry Orth for being a great teammate even with not being the starting quarterback.

** Muschamp says Jake Bentley has very good pocket presence. Really proud of where he is. He's done an excellent job, all things considered. Bentley is harder on himself than any coach on the staff is.

** Football is a developmental game. You can't take batting practice on your own or shoot hoops to get better. You have to go play the game in practices or games. Bowl eligibility gives you an opportunity to get in more practices.
