Having a live period back over the summer gave South Carolina’s coaching staff a chance to go out and watch prospects across the country in June and July, with a few new names almost assuredly popping up on recruiting boards.

The Gamecocks already knew about Elijah Saunders entering the summer, but really ratcheted up their recruitment in June and will soon host the top 150 prospect for an official visit next month.
