What I like: When I look at Tucker’s size and skill-set, he projects nicely as an H-back, but I also believe he could develop into a good all-around tight end. Tucker has the athleticism and ball skills to serve as a reliable receiver from multiple spots in the offensive formation. He’s also an aggressive blocker who looks comfortable in-line blocking defensive ends and linebackers, as well as split-out blocking defensive backs.

Instant impact? Just as much as the Gamecocks need playmakers at receiver, they also need capable bodies at tight end. In most years, Tucker would likely be a strong candidate to be redshirted, but given the team’s needs, his skill-set, and his style of play, it wouldn’t surprise me to see him earn playing time in 2016.

Rivals rating: I like the way Tucker plays. He’s aggressive and looks comfortable as a receiver and blocker, which will give him versatility at the next level. I would rate Tucker as a 5.6 three-star, a slight bump from his Rivals rating.
