Another SC Pro Am wrapped up Sunday with the championship game taking place. Chris Silva and Rakym Felder were unable to bring home the championship as their team was outlasted in overtime.

- Chris Silva all but carried the team on his back Sunday. The only other major contributor was South Carolina teammate, Rakym Felder. Silva, from start to finish, was easily the best player in the league. If there were a league MVP, Silva would win without question. Silva was matched up against professional Marcus Goode, and each had their moments. What Silva gives up in height, he overcomes with athleticism. Silva didn’t back down from the 6’10 giant, choosing to go right at him on several occasions. Each player played physical, and neither was intimidated. Silva didn’t shoot as much from the outside as previous nights, choosing to stay low, and trying to get the and-one. Silva will definitely be the focal point of this 17-18 team, and seems more than ready to accept the challenge. Silva finished with 47 points (2-4 3pt), 14 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal.

- Rakym Felder was good, but obviously Silva was the main guy. Having Silva demanding so much attention gave Felder an opportunity to drive the lane against an occupied Marcus Goode. Felder will need to work on finishing at the rim, but he did manage to find himself at the line on several trips. His three shot wasn’t as accurate as it will need to be, but Felder is no longer a secret to opposing teams, so he’ll need to improve there to keep defenses honest. It’s hard to say at this point who will start at PG this season, but I’d put Felder and Gravett right at the top with no clear cut leader at this time. Felder finished up with 24 points (2-8 3pt), five rebounds and an assist.
