The Gamecocks (42-14, 18-12) avoided having to play Tuesday in single-elimination action and will have to be defeated twice to go home. USC is paired in Bracket 2 with overall SEC Champion Florida, which took two of three from Tennessee in Knoxville over the weekend to finish the regular season 37-19, 21-9.
USC will play the winner of Tuesday's Georgia (26-28, 11-18-1)-Mississippi State (35-20, 18-12) game on Wednesday night. The game will start after the conclusion of the Florida-Alabama/Kentucky winner game that begins at 5:30 p.m.
Tennessee's 7-5 victory over Florida on Saturday allowed the Volunteers (31-22, 12-18) to make the SEC Tournament for the first time since 2007.
Missouri and Auburn did not make the 12-team tournament.
The tournament concludes Sunday, May 25.
