SEC Team Notes:
* Tennessee's Jordan McRae, a 6-foot-6, 185-pound senior guard from Midway, Ga., was named SEC Player of the Week after averaging 20 points, 3.5 assists and three rebounds in wins against Virginia and Tusculum. He had what head coach Cuonzo Martin called the best defensive game of his career in UT's convincing home win over Virginia, limiting the Cavs' top scorer to just seven points on 2-of-9 shooting. McRae made 3-of-4 tries from 3-point range and was also a perfect 6-for-6 at the free-throw line. He tied his career-high with five assists while committing zero turnovers. He followed up his career night with a team-best 19 points in UT's win over Tusculum College Saturday.
* Arkansas' Bobby Portis, a 6-foot-10, 242-pound freshman forward from Little Rock, Ark., was named SEC Freshman of the Week after recording his second career double-double with 19 points and
10 rebounds to go with three assists, three blocks and two steals against Texas-San Antonio. In the
midst of going a perfect 8-of-8 from the field, Portis extended his double figure scoring streak to nine games, the longest streak by a Razorback this season. Portis has made his last 20 shots from inside the three-point line.
* Florida's Patric Young, Missouri's Earnest Ross, Tennessee's Jordan McRae, Missouri's Jordan Clarkson and LSU's Andre Stringer have each reached the 1,000 career point milestone this season.
Alabama's Trevor Releford reached the mark last season and currently is the active leading scorer
in the league with 1,503 career points.
* Missouri owns the nations longest home-court winning streak with 26 straight wins at Mizzou Arena. Arkansas (23), Florida (23) and Kentucky (17) also rank among the longest streaks in the nation.
* Alabama's Trevor Releford is the school record holder in total steals and became the first player at
UA to record at least 1,000 points, 300 assists and 200 steals for a career.
* Arkansas is riding a seven-game win streak and has scored 70+ points in every game this season.
* Auburn has recorded double-figure blocks in each of its last two games, blocking 12 shots against Arkansas-Pine Bluff and 10 vs. Florida A&M.
* Florida's Casey Prather entered his senior season averaging 3.1 points per game but has increased that to 17.3 as a senior.
* Four Georgia players have made their first starts at the Division 1 collegiate level this season.

of 41 previously held by John Roche. It is tied for the second-longest streak in SEC history.
