Commit spotlight: Luke Doty has perfect night

A quarterback can't play much better than South Carolina class of 2020 commitment Luke Doty did Friday night.

The Myrtle Beach signal-caller completed 15 of 15 passes for 253 yards and 3 touchdowns. He added 65 yards on the ground in his team's 63-20 win over Socastee.

“It’s very impressive, I’ve been here since 2001 and I can’t remember any quarterback that went perfect in a game,” Myrtle Beach coach Mickey Wilson said, via Myrtle Beach Online. “That’s something that I’m going to remember for a long time, him putting on a great performance like he did tonight. Our goal is to get the ball out in space and spread it out to as many guys as possible and Luke definitely did that tonight.”

Doty and the Seahawks are off to a 3-0 start on the season and will host Carolina Forest next week.

Video of Doty's perfect performance has yet to surface online.

Another in-state South Carolina commit, tight end Keshawn Toney had a big night with 7 receptions for 106 yards and two touchdowns. Check out his highlights from the big game below.
