Gamecocks favored on the road

South Carolina is the favorite in its first road game of the 2018 campaign. The Gamecocks opened as a three-point favorite to beat the Commodores according to VegasInsider.com

The Gamecocks are looking to get back in the win column following the Georgia game and are coming off of an unscheduled off-week after the cancellation of their game with Marshall due to Hurricane Florence. The Commodores enter this week with some confidence after they came within one play of defeating then #8 Notre Dame in South Bend on Saturday.

South Carolina currently carries a nine-game winning streak against Vanderbilt and have not lost to the Commodores since dropping a Thursday night game 24-17 at Vandy in 2008. The Gamecocks also hold a 23-4 record against VU, with the most recent contest seeing the Gamecocks win 34-27 in Columbia last season.

Saturday's game at Vanderbilt Stadium (40,550) is scheduled to kick off at 4 p.m. ET and will be televised on the SEC Network.
