Top five plays of 2013...No. 1

This week, Gamecock Central is counting down the top five plays of 2013 as we prepare for the Capitol One Bowl against Wisconsin on Jan. 1.
Today, No. 1 - Missouri's miss on a 24-yard field goal in double overtime, a miss that gave South Carolina its first win over a top-five opponent on the road since 1981. The heroes in Columbia, Missouri, were plenty that night - Connor Shaw, Kelcy Quarles, Elliott Fry, Bruce Ellington, Nick Jones - but it was in fact a Tiger who made the biggest play of the year for the Gamecocks. On a poor hold with the laces facing him, Missouri kicker Andrew Baggett's attempt struck the left post so hard the clang held in the night air for about a second before the South Carolina sideline erupted abd the Missouri faithful entered various states of shock.
