Will Muschamp updates injuries to Wilder, Shi Smith

The Gamecocks had good news on two players that left injured in Saturday's game.

Antoine Wilder had an elbow injury and should be fine, Will Muschamp said after the game, and Shi Smith is nursing an ankle injury.

Wilder left the field and went straight to the locker room after being blocked and landing on his arm. He did not return to the game.

Shi Smith was injured on a kickoff return where he was tackled and did a sumersault while landing on his head. He tried to get up but fell back down injured.

He was attended to and left the field to not return.

Other than that, the Gamecocks left injury free. D.J. Smith, who missed the last game with a hip pointer played and started Saturday.

Jamyest Williams, who's nursing a shoulder injury, didn't play. Muschamp said after the game he didn't feel comfortable team playing the true freshman with limited reps this week.
