Carty cleared to enroll

The final piece of USC's 2017 recruiting class will arrive on campus soon to begin classes and participate with the football team, GamecockCentral.com has learned.

Three-star offensive tackle Jordon Carty out of Hollywood (Florida) South Broward completed the required academic work recently, and was cleared through South Carolina's admissions on Wednesday.

During the recruiting process, Carty drew offers from Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi State, North Carolina, NC State, West Virginia, and others. He officially announced his commitment to the Gamecocks back in February on signing day. Carty is expected to redshirt in his first season in Columbia.
