Current No. 28: Jonathan Walton
A senior from Daphne, Ala., linebacker Jonathan Walton enters his final season at South Carolina listed as a co-starter at the MIKE linebacker spot.
Considered a hard-hitter, Walton has 111 career tackles and also owns a touchdown (pictured above) when he was used sparingly in the backfield last season.
A former high-three star prospect, Walton played both linebacker and running back at Bayside Academy.
Former No. 28: Mike Davis
Currently ninth on the school's all-time rushing list, Mike Davis rushed for 2,440 yards and 22 touchdowns on 454 carries from 2012-14. Davis added 70 career catches for 755 yards and two touchdowns.
A former four-star prospect from Stephenson High in Stone Mountain, Ga., the former Florida commitment chose the Gamecocks over offers from Clemson, Georgia, Florida, Alabama and others.
After three seasons at South Carolina, Davis was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
