Former South Carolina DE Boosie Whitlow To Transfer To Louisville

After a disappointing 2017 defensive line recruiting class, Louisville immediately turned to the transfer market looking for help for the 2018 season. Monday, former South Carolina defensive end Boosie (Quandeski) Whitlow told me he would officially transfer to Louisville.

"For one, they gave me another chance in which I thank their staff." Whitlow said of his decision, "And I've already got relationships with the majority of the coaches there so that's a big plus."

In 2015 as a true freshman at South Carolina, Whitlow recorded 14 tackles, 5 tackles for loss, and 1 sack in 9 games. In 2016, though, Whitlow did not see the field at all due to being buried on the depth chart.

Whitlow, who is expected to arrive on campus no later than the second week of May, will have a versatile role in the Cardinal's defense with the option of playing both a traditional outside linebacker position or a one hand in the dirt defensive end position.

At 6'3" 237lbs, Whitlow will have to sit out the 2017 season and will have two years of eligibility remaining after (2018 & 2019).
