Not only did South Carolina approve its latest football hiring, but a handful of Olympic sport head coaches and assistants earned contract extensions for the next few years.
Head coaches Curtis Frye (track and field), Bill McDonald (men's golf) and Beverly Smith (softball) all unanimously received one-year extensions.

Assistant coaches Perry Clark and Chuck Martin (men's basketball), Lisa Boyer (women's basketball) and two football coaches—Bobby Bentley and Mike Peterson—all received one year extensions as well with no increases to salary.
Frye is a storied head coach who's coached multiple national champions, All-Americans and Olympians in his over two decades at South Carolina while McDonald is in his 13th year at South Carolina and is currently the winningest coach in school history.
Frye's contract will run through the end of June 2021 and he'll make a little over $201,000. McDonald's runs through June 2022 time and he's set to make just over $170,000.

In Smith's now 10 years at South Carolina, she's taken her team to the NCAA Tournament seven times and have competed in four regional championships with one super regional appearance.
Smith's current contract is set to run through June 30, 2021 and that means she'll get extended another year through 2022.
Clark's been with Frank Martin for his entire stint at South Carolina while Chuck Martin came over from Indiana after Matt Figger left the Gamecocks for the head coaching job at Austin Peay.

Boyer was one of Dawn Staley's first hires after taking the job at South Carolina and has been with her ever since, an integral part of the team's success both on the court and in recruiting.
All three were extended through the 2021 basketball season with no salary bumps. Clark is set to make $265,000 while both Martin and Boyer will make $300,000.
Bentley is set to make $400,000 next season with Mike Peterson making $300,000 and their contracts run through May 31, 2021.
