Multiple sources are reporting that South Carolina's Director of Player Personnel Taylor Edwards is moving on from his time at the position for the Gamecocks. Edwards has been in the position since 2021, coming here after serving as the Director of Recruiting Operations at Maryland prior.

Edwards has been a key part of the recruiting team at South Carolina throughout the Shane Beamer era and had key ties to the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia areas where the staff have had a lot of success in the past several years.

Prior to his time at Maryland, he was also on the staff at Arkansas alongside former Gamecock assistant Justin Stepp, who took the WR Coach job at Illinois this past off-season. It's unclear at the moment who might replace Edwards, though Sam Serbay has worked alongside him as Player Personnel & Recruiting Assistant for the last several seasons.

Edwards got his first P5 position back in 2017 as a part of Nick Saban's class at Alabama. Since arriving in Columbia, he has helped the Gamecocks to a top 25 finish in the Rivals comprehensive rankings for 2023 and 2024.
