Summerville (S.C.) Cane Bay playmaker Kris Copeland -- one of the state of South Carolina's most electric prospects -- was in Columbia Saturday for the Gamecocks' Garnet and Black spring game.
"I just liked everything about it, to be honest," Copeland said. "The vibe that I get from the players and stuff like that."
The 5-foot-8, 160-pound class of 2018 prospect, who has been timed in the 4.3s in the 40-yard dash, camped at South Carolina last summer and plans to again this summer in hopes of landing an offer.
"I've talked to (running backs) Coach (Bobby) Bentley a little bit," Copeland said. "He hasn't really said much about an offer, but he just was saying to come to the camp on the third, because Coach Muschamp doesn't really offer much on sight."

An offer from the Gamecocks would mean a great deal for him.
"It's a great program," Copeland said. "I've liked it since I was younger. I always felt like I could play for them and stuff like that. I just like the vibe that I get from them."
Copeland lines up in the backfield in his high school's triple option offense, but says he's likely more of a slot receiver at the next level.
UNC Charlotte, Georgia State, Limestone and Wofford are also showing interest, but it seems only a matter of time before the playmaker lands his first offer.
As a junior last fall, Copeland rushed for 1002 yards and 14 rushing touchdowns on 113 carries. He added 13 receptions for 262 yards and a score.
Copeland added 790 kick return yards and 153 yards on nine punt returns.
"I want to study physical therapy, so that's what I'm really looking for as far as schools go," Copeland says. "On the field, anything works for me. I can adjust to coaching styles or schemes."
