Homerville (Ga.) Clinch County three-star defensive end John Mincey committed to Tennessee over South Carolina on National Signing Day Wednesday.

The 6-foot-4, 258-pound former Arkansas commit took official visits to both Tennessee and South Carolina before announcing his pledge to the Volunteers during a ceremony at his school.

South Carolina now awaits its fate in the competition for four-star defensive tackle Rick Sandidge's signature.

Sandidge, a Rivals100 prospect, will announce during a 2:30 ceremony at Concord (N.C) High.
